There are some exciting developments on the horizon for IdeaMarketers.com and my own personal brand. Over the last few years, spamminess in the article marketing and SEO community have created a real challenge at IdeaMarketers. It’s become impossible to control quality with thousands of articles pouring in daily and a staff insufficient to look at every single one of them.
The lower the quality became, the more out-of-sync I felt with the site, but cleaning it up was too overwhelming to tackle.
So, this week I took a major leap of faith and took back control of my flagship site. We hand-picked the best authors, kept the writers who’ve paid-to-play in the past, and deactivated nearly 3 million articles!
In a flip of a switch, we reduced our content from 3 million articles to 40,000! I’ll admit, that evening I had a minor panic attack, just thinking about what I’d done.
But, I know it’s the right thing to do. Quality is more important than quantity. Focus is better than chaos.
I feel great about this new direction as the site will be an extension of my brand, my values, and my core passions. It’s going to become an invaluable resources to my primary niche — Light Bearers (see definition below).
In the next few weeks, you’ll watch IdeaMarketers evolve into only hand-selected, curated expert content. No more article directory, no more public submissions. Our team of experts will be showing you how to Ignite your WOW! It’s all about getting the message you have to share with the world packaged, promoted, and platformed where it generates buzz and creates a WOW!
